Karwa Chauth 2021: In Hinduism, Karva Chauth is celebrated by married women. On this day, married women keep a full day fast without having water. The fast she keeps for the long life of her husband.
According to the Hindu calendar, Karva Chauth is observed every year on the Chaturthi Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Kartik. This year Karva Chauth Vrat is on Sunday, 24 October.

Karwa Chauth 2021 significance:
It is celebrated in remembrance of a wife who brought her dead husband back to life according to Hindu mythology. Women begin their day with a pledge to observe the fast with sincerity. Throughout the whole day, they perform puja and prayers and also Bhajans. In the evening, a puja is performed, and after sighting the Moon, the fast is broken.

This time Karva Chauth is on October 24, at the time of moon exit, it will be 08:07 in the night. It will start from Sunday morning 03 hrs 01 minutes of Kartik month of Chaturthi and finish on 25 October 2021 at 05:43 AM. The time to worship is on October 24 at 05:42 PM to 06:59 PM.
The overall duration of worship will be 01 hours 17 minutes.

Karwa Chauth 2021: Worship method
As per tradition women wake up before sunrise and eat the things made in Sargi. They take a bath, take a pledge of fasting by lighting a lamp in the temple and start observing the fasting. They also worship and read the story of Karwa Chauth and its significance.
In the evening they keep lamp, roli, flowers, fruits, sweets ready on the plate. Also, keep ready a glass of water and a pot full of rice and some money. After the sighting of the moon in the evening and women offer the water to the moon which is called ‘Arghya’.
They drink water to break the fast and seek the blessings of the elders in the house.
